I attended Hathaway Brown School, a school for girls, K-12, in 1977/78 as an AFS exchange student. By chance I was in Ohio the weekend of my 35th high school reunion and of course went to visit.
Founded in 1876, Hathaway Brown is committed to a fusion of academic and experiential learning. I will never forget the wonderful art and design programs offered at the school, particularly the Art History course for Yr 12 held weekly at the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Drawing and Design course and my intense Photography course overseen by teacher, Dolores Kaufman, a brilliant artist and still a practicing photographer today.
Interesting to see the new extensions to the school and to marvel at the alumnae weekend donation of over $200,000.
