Yestermorrow Design and Build School, Vermont
Yestermorrow Design and Build School teaches over 120 hands-on workshops a year in design, construction, woodworking, and architectural craft and offers a variety of courses concentrating in sustainable design.
The school is a 4hr drive from Boston and accommodation is available on site in a range of cabins built by past interns. We slept in a straw bale walled hut with open screened walls.
Their intensive, hands-on courses are taught by top architects, builders, and craftspeople from across the country. For people of all ages and experience levels, from novice to professional. There are short two day courses, longer week courses and summer programs.
During our visit their was a Solar Sustainable course and an Unplugged Timber course, designing and making using hand tools.
A very beautiful, inspirational place.
